Sarah Palin’s new book hits book shelves everywhere tomorrow. I received confirmation earlier today that my order has been shipped. I can’t wait to get it and dig in! The book, last time I checked, currently stands number one on the bestseller lists of Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and USA Today. If anyone knows for a fact this has changed, please feel free to comment below. Ever since Palin was more or less thrown into the world of true politics, the media and people of America can’t stop talking about her. Whether you love her or hate her, there’s something about her that keeps people talking. I personally love Palin. Do I think she should be the GOP nomination in 2012? Maybe not. That doesn’t take away from her superstar status. Sarah Palin is an exemplar of a real American thrown into the dirty world of politics. A world she quickly exited. Will she boldy come back on stage as a 2012 candidate? Perhaps, but that’s still two years off. Sarah Palin is definitely a figure to watch, though I don’t think you’ll have the chance to ignore her if you watch any of the three major news networks.

jury of your peers
November 14, 2009 · Leave a Comment
Some of the conspirators of the 9/11 terror attacks will be tried in New York. Now, Eric Holder claims they will be tried by a jury of their peers. Now, correct me if I am wrong, but would their peers not be other terrorists? If so, they would be let off the hook like nothing happened. And what happens if one nut ends up on the jury? Mistrial? Seriously Holder, these people maliciously killed Americans and do not and will not ever regret it. How can these people go through our justice system? How can you possibly justify that? Holder just keeps getting it wrong. You are the attorney general, the chief law enforcement officer of the land. And you treat terrorists as though they are common criminals? Try explaining that to the families who lost loved ones during those attacks. Hope this works out for you Holder, if one juror goes against the rest-you may as well have those victims blood on your hands.

As you all know by now, on Saturday night the House passed unprecedented health care reform legislation. The vote was tight, coming in at 220-215. The American people clearly stated that they did not want this $1.2 trillion, 2300 page bill passed. Heck, I don’t think Congress even knows 1/4 of what was in the bill. Yet, as the voting came to a close, liberal Democrats were counting down until their nonsense piece of legislation was officially passed. The good news is that it will be much harder to get the public option through the Senate. I doubt that the public option will be in the final legislation, the closest thing will be the trigger option or opt-out option. Harry Reid has sent his opt-out plan to the CBO for analysis. The current proposed legislation in the Senate costs less than $900 billion, whereas the House plan costs $1.2 trillion. It is clear that a little over half of the representatives of our great nation failed to live up to their responsibility-representing their constituents. Hopefully, the Senate will make a much wiser choice.

ultimate betrayal

I am sure that by now you are all aware of the tragedy at Fort Hood. I would like to start by saying that our thoughts and prayers our with those families tonight. Somebody really dropped the ball here. How does a man like him, who was under investigation anyway, get into this graduation ceremony and kill and harm so many people? I seriously think heads will roll because of this. Of course, we were urged not to jump to conclusions by President Obama today. This is not good for Muslim-American relations. And I seriously wonder how this will affect that. However, I would like to say that the majority of Muslim are not terrorists seeking out ways to kill Americans. I am looking forward to what our President has to say in coming weeks, and learning more about this coward. I am taking off until Monday, I will see you all then. Until then, check out the daily briefing for Friday.

a simple christmas
November 5, 2009 · Leave a Comment
Governor Mike Huckabee released a new book yesterday titled “A Simple Christmas.” The book contains 12 tales of Christmas in Huckabee’s life, from boyhood to now. A quick side note, a new and revised edition of his book “Do The Right Thing” is now available in paperback. While calling in from PA, the governor made a few comments before opening up for questions. He said he never has or will support our Republican colleague Dede from NY23. He also added he would never support a third party candidate, because he believed to make a change in Washington, one more than likely needed the support of one of the two major parties. Huckabee went on to say the blue dogs will be dead dogs if they vote for the reform their constituents don’t want. I encourage you all to read his new book, and it is NOT a political book. It also happens to be his favorite book thus far. Check it out when you can.
